Link's turn This shot is also awesome at showing off the costume, and the location was perfect ^^
He made most of the sword and scabbard, everything else was made by me.
For the tunic/shirt I wanted to use a nice heavy material with a burlap-like texture. I found a convenient tunic pattern and altered it to accommodate the collar and neck tie. The red waist wrap is a coarse felt tied together by leather straps on either side. The pants were found second-hand and dyed to get the right color green, and the boots were bought second-hand. (I love second hand stores... all the weathering/distressing is done for me!).
The scabbard and waist belts were all purchased second hand and altered/cannibalized for parts. All the designs on the shirt and waist wrap are fabric paint. The wig was cut and styled by me from "wisp" on cosplay.com.
Finally the scabbard is made up of a cardboard base and I made a fake moleskin/suede cover for it that was then decorated with silver ribbon and fabric paint. Sword and scabbard construction pics can be seen in the rest of the gallery.
Thanks! It was taken outside one of the entrances around the Christian Science Center in Boston. Many of the other photos from this shoot were also taken from different areas of the christian science center/ Prudential plaza
