Almost Like Flying - Completedby ~Misakochan

Traditional Art / Mixed Media

I got a brilliant idea. It usually takes me several days to digitally color a picture what with the base colors then the shading and lighting and everything have to be so neat. But thats digital.
Traditional only takes me several hours..so I printed the lineart and colored it. Then I knew I could do a better and faster bg if it was digital so I scanned it and finished it up. I put it under mixed media not for the digital/traditional but because I used both markers and colored pencils and such to do this.
The bg isn't my best I know and the scanner botched the blending of the colored pencils..but I still like this piece a lot. I definately went over board this time with the dissolve setting but I just love that effect! So I don't care xP

Oh and about the little wings..what do you think? I just doodled them in there last minute and was planning on erasing them but I dunno..they prolly should be erased but I'll wait until I'm told to do so xD

Oh and anyone who wants to is still welcome to color the lineart..and I'm thinking now that I might come back to this when I get back and actually color it seriously in photoshop..but that all depends on how I feel when I get back

Wooow, this is so utterly gorgeous! They're both so cute and I love their poses, so graceful! Great outfits, too. Oh, and the coloring! Completely amazing. You are so talented, honey!

thank youu!! I'm glad you like it. omg..those poses o.o *doesn't ice skate* I had to go through so many different references to compile a nice original couple pose. But it paid off apparently. Pity my scanner botches colored pencil

Just to be a jerk, I must say, I would laugh so hard if they fell. Daisuke would be in great pain... xP

Anyway, looks awesome. Moon is all fancy and cool, and the ice coming off of the skates is pretty sweet. Wings are like.. eh. I dunno. they're cute, but I'd rather them out. My opinion.. no one listens to it anyway. ^_^

OOO look at that awesome ice effect from their skates!!!! Diasuke looks awesome in pink yay for matching skate uniform! My favorite part of the coloring has to be the hair on both of the characters!

aww thanks ^^ oh yeah..the hair lol I was so careful about that with the highlights and such..its really weird going from digital to traditional..you need to remember that you can't do highlights later..which becomes a pain with bleeding markers, but luckily the markers I used for the hair weren't new and didn't bleed as much

Daisuke is a real man, for only real men wear pink (unless they're gay but thats a different matter.) xD
