My boyfriend and I cosplaying Ulquiorra and Inoue Orihime from the anime series Bleach.
Logistics: Completely made my costume from scratch using white and black cotton and some black ribbon. Bought some black boots in a thrift store and just put some white electrical tape on them. The dye for my hair didn't come out, and it was too later and too expensive to buy a wig so ignore my hair color Made Ulqui's mask by making a frame from thin wire and masking tape, then covered it with paper mache. Held on to the head/wig with a black head band. Unfortunately in this pic you can't really see the rest of the head piece. My boyfriend made the sword's sheath by flattening and bending some pvc piping and carving a piece of wood and hockey stick for the guard and hilt - with con rules, there was no need to make more than a sheath.
It was a ton of work, and I felt so bad for my boyfriend who had to wear all that make up ( he even had his nails painted black) and then had the wig and mask on which certainly couldn't have been comfortable when it was warm.
Your hair is actually almost the color anyhow, all that was needed was a slight orange tint. (I always thought Orihimes hair color was more of a strawberry-blonde but darker than Ichigos, almost chestnut.) I really like your costume design, its one of the best ones Ive seen. Plus I love this pairing. ;D
WOW! hehe i love this its really good and im srry about ur hair but i amost didnt tell at first...very good job...esply with the arrancar costumes...ive been looking for a pattern to make orihime's and it sux cux i cant find it and wanna make one but really good job hope 2 c more
For the Ulquiorra helmet...just a tip that may help if that's too heavy or whatnot... craft foam can be heated up with a heat gun and moulded while it's warm. When it cools, it retains the shape you form it into. Even crayola model magic clay is lightweight for this.
I am impressed you made them yourselves. Arrancar costumes are not easy to make, so that's some real skill there. I like the black boots idea. Looks like it worked well. Excellent cosplays .
Mine was also not "store bought" It took a month to make only because of the edge lining.
but really good job hope 2 c more
